[York] a wonderful day

Two things happened today can be called as wonderful. One is I finally finish my long essay which is 1000 words. It took me one day to write the draft and two days for the final version. Well, I am sure to say that it is not in high quality but thanks god that I can get it done before the due date. Academic writing is totally different here. In Taiwan, writing a report is easy and all we have to do is to express our ideas then put them into the essay. Part of the difficulties might be unfamiliarity of the topic. Migration is not what I concerned a lot so it's hard for me to type the first sentence. But as we know, when we broke the ice, things will be easier and faster. Through this essay, I kinda understand the so called "Academic Writing." The other wonderful thing is I met new friends here! Thanks to Lefteris, I learned two Greek sentences* and made new friends, Angelos and Nicolas, of course they are also Greek. Greeks are open-minded and easygoing. We went to the pub for dinner and it was extremely wonderful. And I drank my first pint of beer today! Before today, I often sipped of beer and gave it to others. The beer I had today is quite smooth(I hope it's the right word for it). People often say it's impossible to be drunk with beer. I will! After half pint of beer, I was kinda dizzy. It helped me to get rid of the stress of writing essay, but I will control myself for next time. After all, I am not good drinker~.
